My name is Dr. Andre Todd. The journey has been a symphony of service, resilience, and transformation. The year 2024 promises to be epic, with the district brimming with the electric energy of a campaign season. However, this will not be a campaign; it will be a motivating challenge to the status quo, aiming to redefine the landscape of leadership for our republic.As I, Dr. Todd, stand at the precipice of this political journey, the echoes of leaders who came before me resound like a chorus—from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Jeffrey Cohelan, Ron Dellums, Barbara Lee, Elihu Harris, and civil rights attorney John L. Burris. He and his family have attended Allen Temple Baptist Church for over 30 years in Oakland.

Dr. Todd is aware of the responsibility he will bear—to uphold the values of honor, duty, and service. But alongside that responsibility, he carries a promise—a promise that he would transition from safeguarding the nation's security to shaping its future through the corridors of Congress.

Recognizing the backbone of our economy, Dr. Todd's plan for small businesses resonates with our own history of advocacy.<ul><li>Removal of Bureaucratic Blockers: The ability to chase the American dream, free from biased obstacles.</li><li>Culturally-Sensitive Support: Outreach that speaks every language, supporting a diverse range of businesses.</li><li>Investing in Revitalization: As we've seen in projects like Down Town Center or the Park, revitalizing commercial centers and providing technical assistance are the keys to small business success.</li></ul>

Supporting Small Businesses

In his personal life, Dr. Todd's marriage of over twenty-seven years and his two daughters are a testament to his values and priorities. A commitment to education was woven into the fabric of his family, as his daughters graduated from the public school system with outstanding &nbsp;4.2 GPAs. Their decision to attend public institutions—UCLA and UC Berkeley—for their undergraduate studies was emblematic of their belief in the power of public education.Despite his achievements, Dr. Todd's journey was not without challenges. During his time coaching football at Humboldt State University, he discovered that he had the learning disability "dyslexia". Armed with a laptop in the early '90s—" a pioneering move at the time"—he navigated the rigors of academia with tenacity and determination. Despite the injuries he sustained during his military and professional sports careers, in goal setting he persevered, advocating for equal rights, and justice for education.His commitment to education was palpable in the myriad degrees and certifications he earned, supported by the Navy. From Ashford University's JD &amp; DBA and to a Post-Doctoral degree at California Intercontinental University, his pursuit of knowledge was a constant thread in his journey.His IBAM Medical School degree in DNA, RNA, and Natural Health license reflected his holistic approach to well-being. Under the Navy he received education certificates from Harvard University, the Wharton School of Business, the Navy Postgraduate School, and Stanford University, which all contributed to his formidable arsenal of knowledge. While he did not complete his studies at Humboldt State University, he transferred all units to a DBA and Law School, an example of his determination to overcome obstacles.

In the arena of education, Dr. Todd's plan aligns with our conviction that education is the great equalizer.

He is running to represent California’s 12th Congressional District, which is home to over 750,000 people across Alameda County, and includes Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, Piedmont, and San Leandro.His church home for over 30 years is Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland.

The stage was set for Dr. Todd’s military career. One marked by two decades of unwavering commitment to the United States Navy. A commanding officer and mustang who had risen from the enlisted ranks, he navigated (5X +) deployments in "war zones", survived challenges that tested his mettle, and engaged in no less than thirty-eight trainings for war zones and tactical operations. With resilience etched into his very being, he retired as a LCDR.

Dr. Todd is an emblem of leadership and showed courage during 20+ years of deployments into wars zones.
